About the Works: 
 The small fashion pieces were inspired by the show “Dior and Beyond “featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art this past winter. These works play with stitching combined with gluing as a means of attaching the collage material. The “Black “includes rubber and window screening as collage material. The “Pink” employs a chiffon “scrim” overlaid on the entire piece as a nod to the fabrics featured in the Dior show.
 The small fashion figures lead to the larger collage works which include multiple figures; “That Street in Paris “and “When Prince was our Sitter”. Most often my collages are created from the selections of materials, their textures, and shapes and color that I have in the studio. The content typically evolves with the “putting of pieces together”. Examples of this are “The Sartorial Man’s Spring Ties” (a dedication piece), “Il Loti “and “The Road to San Gimignano”.
  The drive-in collages are intentional from the start and are part of a small series that evokes my fondness for that summer experience of the past.
